Jan Bogdan
Jan Bogdan first played as a soloist with the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Kosice at the age of 12 and numerous times since then. In addition, he played as a soloist with various other orchestras such as Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra, Slovak National Radio Orchestra, Targu Mures Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Chamber Orchestra, State Chamber Orchestra Zilina, Franz Schmidt Kammerorchester and as a practicum substitute orchestra member with Wiener Philharmoniker and Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. In last few years was also a guest principal cellist in Israel Chamber Orchestra.
In 2021, Jan was chosen by Maestro Lahav Shani to perform as a soloist under his baton with Buchmann Mehta Symphony Orchestra in Charles Bronfman Auditorium (Israel Philharmonic Hall).
Since the age of seven, Jan has been a recipient of numerous national and international awards. Among many, let us mention the first prize at "Buchmann-Mehta Strings Competition", "Wettbewerb für Violoncello", the laureate of the Talents for Europe competition and the laureate of the Eugena Suchoň competition.
